Whether you need to transfer oil from a 200-litre drum, dispense lubricant from a bucket, pump corrosive chemicals or extract waste fluids, we manufacture the right tool for the job. Our barrel pumps (also called rotary drum pumps or manual drum pumps) come in cast iron, stainless steel and plastic rotary variants to handle everything from light oils to aggressive chemicals. Our oil suction guns are available in full steel, aluminium, plastic and clear tube bodies.
Unlike resellers who source from multiple factories, we manufacture all oiling equipment in-house. This means consistent quality, competitive pricing and the ability to customise any product with your branding. For grease applications, see our lever action grease guns and grease bucket pumps. For precision oiling, see our oil cans and hand pump oilers.

Frequently Asked Questions: Barrel Pumps & Oiling Equipment
What is a barrel pump?
A barrel pump (also called a drum pump) is a device inserted into a 200-litre (55 gallon) drum to transfer oil, lubricant or other fluids. You turn a crank handle to create suction and move the fluid through a discharge hose. We manufacture barrel pumps in cast iron (for standard oils), stainless steel (for food-grade or corrosive fluids) and plastic rotary (for chemicals that corrode metal).
What is the difference between cast iron and stainless steel barrel pumps?
Cast iron barrel pumps are designed for standard oils, lubricants and non-corrosive fluids. They are durable and cost-effective for everyday workshop use. Stainless steel barrel pumps handle food-grade oils, mild acids and fluids that would corrode cast iron. For aggressive chemicals like strong acids or solvents, use our plastic rotary barrel pumps (S-410 for oils, S-411 for chemicals) or lift action chemical pumps.
What is a rotary barrel pump?
A rotary barrel pump uses a hand-cranked rotary mechanism to transfer fluids from drums and barrels. The rotating action creates continuous flow, making it faster than lever-type pumps for large volumes. Our rotary barrel pumps are available in cast iron, stainless steel and plastic. Plastic rotary pumps are ideal for transferring chemicals, solvents and acids that would damage metal pumps.
What is an oil suction gun used for?
An oil suction gun draws fluid into its barrel through suction, then dispenses it through a spout or hose. Common uses include draining gear cases, transmissions, differentials and other enclosed systems without removing drain plugs. They are also used for transferring fluids between containers. Our models include full steel body (S-901), clear tube (S-902CL) for visual level monitoring, and aluminium barrel (S-902AL) for lightweight portability.
What is a lift action pump?
A lift action pump is a chemical transfer pump designed to safely move acids, solvents, alkalis and other corrosive fluids from containers. The pump body is made from chemical-resistant materials like polypropylene. Unlike barrel pumps which use rotary action, lift action pumps use a vertical pumping motion. They are widely used in chemical plants, laboratories, cleaning operations and any environment handling aggressive fluids.
Can I use a barrel pump for chemicals?
Only if you choose the right material. Cast iron barrel pumps are for oils and non-corrosive fluids only. Acids, solvents and aggressive chemicals will corrode cast iron within days. For chemicals, use our plastic rotary barrel pumps (S-411 for chemicals) or lift action pumps which are specifically designed for safe chemical transfer with chemical-resistant construction.
What is a bucket oil pump?
A bucket oil pump is a dispensing system for transferring oil from smaller containers (typically 5 to 20 litres) in automotive workshops and industrial facilities. Unlike barrel pumps which handle 200-litre drums, bucket oil pumps are designed for smaller volumes. Our range includes oil lube dispensers for fresh oil and waste oil collection systems for used oil. For grease dispensing from buckets, see our grease bucket pumps.
How do I choose the right barrel pump for my fluid?
Match the pump material to your fluid type. Standard oils and lubricants: cast iron rotary pump. Food-grade oils or mild chemicals: stainless steel pump. Aggressive chemicals, acids or solvents: plastic rotary pump (S-411) or lift action pump. Also consider flow rate requirements. Rotary pumps provide continuous flow for large volumes, while lever action pumps offer more control for smaller, precise transfers.
How do I maintain a barrel pump?
After each use, run clean fluid through the pump to flush residue, then wipe the exterior dry. For cast iron pumps, apply a light coat of oil to prevent rust during storage. Check seals and gaskets periodically for wear. If the pump loses suction, the internal seals likely need replacement. Store with the pump rod retracted and the discharge hose capped. Never leave a pump sitting in a drum of corrosive fluid longer than necessary.
