Why Choose Quality Garage Equipment?
In a busy automotive workshop, equipment failure means downtime, lost revenue and frustrated customers. A foot pump that leaks air, a hydraulic jack that drifts down, or a tool trolley with jammed drawers slows every job. Professional-grade garage equipment built from heavy-duty steel with precision-machined components pays for itself through reliability and longevity.
Our S-504 foot-operated air pump delivers 230 PSI with 325 cc output per stroke through a 63.5 mm (2.5") cylinder bore, inflating a standard car tyre in under 2 minutes. The 30" braided hose reaches all four tyres without repositioning, and the built-in pressure gauge ensures accurate inflation every time. For workshops and tyre shops handling dozens of vehicles daily, this level of performance and durability is essential.

Frequently Asked Questions: Garage Tools & Equipment
What garage equipment does STAR manufacture?
We currently manufacture the S-504 foot-operated air pump (230 PSI, 325 cc/stroke) and the S-504/KIT repair kit. We are expanding our range to include hydraulic jacks (bottle and trolley types), axle stands, jack stands, tool trolleys and tool boxes. All products are manufactured in-house at our ISO 9001:2015 certified facility and available for OEM and private label supply.
What are the specifications of the S-504 foot air pump?
The S-504 features a 63.5 mm (2.5") cylinder bore, 125 mm stroke length, 325 cc output per stroke and 230 PSI maximum pressure. It includes a 30" (762 mm) braided hose, built-in pressure gauge and weighs 2 kg. The heavy-duty steel body with precision-machined piston is designed for daily professional use in workshops and tyre shops.
What can I inflate with a foot-operated air pump?
The S-504 foot pump inflates car tyres, motorcycle tyres, bicycle tyres, sports balls, air beds, rubber boats and inflatable toys. The 230 PSI maximum pressure handles all standard vehicle tyres. The dual-head chuck is compatible with both Schrader (car/motorcycle) and Presta (road bicycle) valves.
How long does it take to inflate a car tyre with a foot pump?
With the S-504's 325 cc output per stroke, a standard car tyre can be inflated from 25 to 35 PSI in approximately 1 to 2 minutes. The built-in pressure gauge lets you monitor pressure in real time and stop at the exact target PSI. For completely flat tyres, allow 3 to 5 minutes depending on tyre size.
What is the difference between a foot pump and an electric inflator?
A foot pump requires no electricity, no batteries and no compressor, making it reliable anywhere: in the garage, on the roadside, at a campsite or in a remote field. Electric inflators are faster but depend on a power source (12V car socket or mains). For workshops with compressed air, foot pumps serve as a backup when the compressor is down or for quick top-ups between bays.
What is a hydraulic jack used for in a garage?
A hydraulic jack lifts vehicles off the ground for tyre changes, brake work, suspension repairs and undercarriage inspections. Bottle jacks are compact and high-capacity (2 to 50 tons), while trolley jacks (floor jacks) roll under the vehicle and lift from a low profile. For safety, always use jack stands or axle stands to support the vehicle after lifting with a hydraulic jack.
What is the difference between an axle stand and a jack stand?
They are the same thing, just different names used in different regions. "Axle stand" is the common term in the UK, Australia and India. "Jack stand" is the standard term in North America. Both are static support devices placed under the vehicle after lifting with a hydraulic jack, providing a stable, safe support point for working underneath.
How do I choose the right capacity jack stand?
Each jack stand should support at least half the gross vehicle weight (GVW). For passenger cars (1,500 to 2,000 kg), a pair of 2 to 3 ton jack stands is sufficient. For SUVs and light trucks (2,500 to 3,500 kg), use 3 to 5 ton stands. Always use jack stands in pairs and place them on solid, level ground under the vehicle's designated support points.
What should I look for in a tool trolley?
Prioritize steel gauge (18-gauge or thicker for professional use), ball-bearing drawer slides (100 lb+ rating per drawer), lockable drawers and heavy-duty casters with brakes. A good workshop tool trolley holds 200 to 300 lbs of tools, has 5 to 12 drawers of varying depths, and rolls smoothly between work bays. Anti-scratch powder coat finish and a top work surface are additional features to look for.
