Rigid spouts (RS-OC series) are manufactured from zinc-plated steel with a slight bend at the discharge end for precise oil delivery. Available in 6 sizes:

Flexible spouts (FS-OC series) are constructed from durable wire-braided PVC with solid brass ends. The braided construction prevents kinking while allowing the spout to bend and hold its shape. Available in 5 sizes:

- FS-OC-7: 7" / 175 mm

Rigid vs Flexible Oil Can Spouts: Which Do You Need?
Rigid spouts provide direct, straight-line oil delivery and are the standard choice for most workshop applications. The zinc-plated steel construction resists corrosion and the slight bend at the tip directs oil precisely where needed. Choose rigid when you have clear, unobstructed access to the lubrication point.
Flexible spouts are essential when you need to reach around corners, behind panels or into recessed fittings that a straight spout cannot access. The wire-braided PVC holds its shape after bending, so you can set the angle once and oil multiple identical fittings without readjusting. The solid brass ends provide a secure, leak-free connection to the oil can.

What is the difference between rigid and flexible oil can spouts?
Rigid spouts are straight zinc-plated steel tubes with a slight bend at the tip, delivering oil in a direct line. Flexible spouts use wire-braided PVC with brass ends that can be bent to reach around corners and into tight spaces. Rigid spouts are better for general workshop use with clear access. What thread size do oil can spouts use?
Standard oil can discharge spouts use 1/4" UNEF x 32 TPI threading. This is the universal thread used on Wesco-type, Perfectto, pistol and lever-type oil cans worldwide. All STAR rigid (RS-OC) and flexible (FS-OC) spouts use this standard thread and are compatible with most oil cans on the market.
What lengths are available?
Rigid spouts are available in 6 lengths: 4" (100 mm), 5" (125 mm), 6" (150 mm), 7" (175 mm), 8" (200 mm) and 9" (225 mm). Flexible spouts are available in 5 lengths: 5" (125 mm) through 9" (225 mm). The 5" and 6" lengths are the most common for general workshop use. Longer 8" and 9" spouts are used for reaching deep into machinery.
What are flexible spouts made of?
Our flexible spouts (FS-OC series) are constructed from wire-braided PVC with solid brass ends. The wire braiding prevents the spout from kinking or collapsing when bent, while the PVC provides chemical resistance to oils and solvents. The brass ends ensure a secure, leak-free threaded connection to the oil can and a smooth discharge tip.
Can I replace the spout on my existing oil can?
Yes. Our spouts are designed as replacement accessories for any standard oil can with 1/4" UNEF x 32 TPI threading. Simply unscrew the old spout and thread on the new one. You can also switch between rigid and flexible spouts depending on the job. This is more economical than buying a new oil can when only the spout is worn or damaged.
How do I choose the right spout length?
For general workshop oiling (hinges, bearings, chains), a 5" or 6" spout is the most versatile. For reaching into deep machinery, behind panels or into engine compartments, choose 8" or 9". The 4" rigid spout is compact for toolbox use. If you are unsure, the 6" length works for most applications and is the standard length supplied with new oil cans.
